The concept for Central Bark was really inspired by our own dog, Monty - he’s on our logo. Monty suffered with ear infections and other ailments resulting in numerous expensive trips to the vets and long courses of antibiotics. We came to discover doggies immune systems begin with their gut health and his diet might be the cause of his problems. We researched extensively and removed any grain and difficult to digest carbohydrates from his food and moved him on to a raw diet and well, he was like a new dog with renewed vigour for life!
Having spent over ten years as a teacher I decided to make a change and like a lightbulb moment the concept of Central Bark was born. Our village was a perfect location - great to live, great to visit and with so many amazing walks scattered around us. We met with numerous suppliers and spoke with many, many dog owners and nutritionists in order to create a selection of treats that do exactly what they say they will - no additives, no preservatives, just pure and natural.
